I have been using computers since I was 13 years old because I needed one for my school assignments.
I have always been curious about the mechanics behind things, the laptop gave me a new area to explore, and I acquired a lot of knowledge simply through experimenting and exploring.
Since then, I have been introduced to many new technologies and have enjoyed understanding their functionality and maximizing their potential.
Later, I pursued a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire, where I earned a first-class degree.
Work Experience
My first IT position was in a school IT department, responsible for maintaining the Windows servers and all the PCs used by staff and students. This involved diagnosing problems, installing new applications, and overseeing the replacement of computers and laptops.
Since then, I have worked for several activity centre charities where, alongside my main duties, I contributed to enhancing their IT infrastructure. In my most recent role, my involvement with IT became the primary focus, managing all aspects of IT from PCs to network connectivity and security.
Over the past 15 years, I have developed an internal CRM and customer portal to handle event bookings, staffing, equipment, donations, and more. Crucially, this system connects all related information in one place and synchronizes it via API with external tools and resources.
Work Ethic
I am a focused worker, fully engaged with the task at hand and committed to completing it to the best of my abilities.
Both details and the bigger picture are important to me, so I consider the wider implications of any changes before making them.
I have an inquisitive mind and enjoy understanding how things work, which has led me to learn many new technologies over the years by exploring them and discovering what they can do.
